The inaugural Sherry FitzGerald Walkathon took place in April 2007 with all of the funds raised, over €175,000, going towards the Sherry FitzGerald Your Home away from Home Project in aid of Temple Street Children's University Hospital.
In 2008 we are going to try to replicate the success of our inaugural Walkathon by holding a 10k walk in Dublin on April 20th from the offices of Sherry FitzGerald in Ballsbridge.
The 10k walk will follow a route from Shelbourne road around to the waterfront on Strand Road and Beach Road and will finish up back at our offices again.
Lively entertainment at the start, finish and even along the way will help spur the walkers on and well deserved goody bags will await those crossing over the line. It's a day out for all the family and buggies are encouraged so you can bring the little ones along too.
Last year some of our youngest participants were less than a year old! Over 700 people took part in the Dublin walk last year and we're hoping to get the numbers up to well over 1,000 in 2008.
