Does anyone else find Dublin Bus totally useless....I hear the politicans on the radio and tv all the time going on about using public transport and have heard Dublin Bus mentioned as an alternative to driving your car into work....I personally use the 151 to Nangor road, advertised as every 15*minutes...yet there is not one evening in a week where the waiting time is under 30 hour....it tends to be over this and even to the stage of being over an hour....
*When I rang Dublin Bus to complain about the 151 service they came out with the best excuse ever....
Will let you know the excuse if anyone wants to ask me...Has anyone else noticed the terrible service that Dublin Bus provide

The excuse was...and this is classic.......
I told them that there had been no busses in over an hour...and in fact 4 busses had driven past with the "Out Of Service" sign up....so I asked the guy to tell me what the reason for this was....
And the reason was that these busses needed to be out of service so that they could get back into town quicker so that they would be on time coming out of town,,,,
*Now where I work is Park West and this is a mainly industrial route...so why on earth would they need to get so many busses back into the city to service this route after 7 oclock in the evening.....there would not be many using the bus to an industrial estate at this time of the evening....
I asked the chap was this Dublin Buses guidelines for them on buses...ie completely straying away from timetable plans and doing pretty much what they want with times etc....he hung up
ah well

I agree with last statement Thank god I do not have to use them anymore because when I did I worked the whole of the Dublin area and all I could get for an answer was sorry I do not know or they hung up. Over here in Australia they would have to reimburse you your travel cost and give an explanation.
